Letter of Interest

Information technology has the possibility to improve education and society in ways we cannot even begin to fathom. Information is spreading faster than ever to more minds than ever. With increased access to information comes a better understanding of our surroundings, and ourselves. The right use of information technology is essential to the maintenance of a modern society. Society is changing, and so must education.

Kaizendo aims to help educational institutions tailor educational material to each student. Course material can, with the help of Kaizendo, be customised to the needs of each pupil who will, as a result, gain more from his or her education. At its core, Kaizendo is a simple yet powerful idea like many ideas, that have shaped our society, have been. Kaizendo combines existing solutions, methods and approaches with creative thought. My personal belief is that Kaizendo has the chance to revolutionise education, thus improving society worldwide.

As a project manager of information technology projects at the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, I am interested in Kaizendo. I am a firm believer in the ideals of free software, the free software development method, and free culture. Kaizendo combines all of my beliefs into a project I will follow as it develops into a a product that has a possibility to benefit educational systems around the globe.
